Boyd ISD is having a bond election.

Learn more about what’s included in the district’s $63,000,000 bond package below.

Why is Boyd ISD having a bond?

Phase 1

In Phase 1, the volunteer Facilities Planning Committee (FPC) met for six months in the fall of 2023 to review demographic reports, facility assessments, and financial data. Their findings highlighted the need for strategic facility planning.

Phase 2

Phase 2 saw the Board of Trustees approving the FPC’s recommendations, leading to projects on the May 2024 ballot, including site infrastructure for future schools, construction documents for a new 600-student intermediate school, air conditioning upgrades across all district facilities, and the purchase of over 73 acres for future school sites.

Phase 3 - Current Phase

Currently, phase 3 involves a bond for the construction of the new 600-student intermediate school and additional infrastructure updates.

How will this affect your taxes?

If the Boyd ISD May 2025 bond referendum passes, there will be a tax rate increase of $0.2750. Learn about school financing, and the district’s tax rate history below.
